DERUGGY-STOP

is an acid based product used to remove rust stains from granite surfaces. It is especiallyeffective to neutralise those elements in the granite that when exposed to atmospheric agents turn yellowish in colour thus impairing the material quality. DERUGGY-STOP is effectively applied on such materials like Solar White, Camelia White, Kashmir,  Panna  Fragola,  Bianco Kristal, Azularan, Rosa Beta and other types of light coloured granites. This product can be used by slab fabricators as well as on already laid surfaces.

HOW TO USE

For slab fabricators:

Apply on polished slabs.

Stir well before use.

Apply  DERUGGY-STOP evenly on the slabs (upwards on vertical surfaces), using a sprayer or a brush a plastic sheeting should be placed between the slabs (do not use wood).

*Leave for 1 to 12 hours depending on the intensity and amount of rust stains to remove.

*Rinse with plenty of clean, fresh water with a brush.

Attention:

 If applied undiluted on light coloured granite, DERUGGY- STOP might darken the surface. It is recommended to dilute as follows: 70 of product: 30 of water. The efficacy of DERUGGY-STOP can be  tested  before  application. DERUGGY-STOP can be applied on a sample surface stained with rust: allow to absorb for about half an hour then heat the surface with a flame until perfectly dry. If the stain is removed, DERUGGY-STOP can be effectively used on the material treated. If the stain cannot be removed, contact our technical  assistance.  After  the treatment with DERUGGY-STOP, it is recommended to apply LITHOS or PRIMALAS/92 or IDROSILAN on the surface. These water repellents in fact, create a barrier between the material surface and atmospheric agents adding protection against oxidation.

Do not apply under direct sunlight.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original containers, perfectly sealer, at a temperature between 0 and 25°C and shielded  from  direct  sunlight  at ventilated area. In these conditions, the product has a self-life of 12 months of the date quoted in the delivery note. If the material has been stored for longer than its recommended self-life, it might still be suitable, but this has to be determined beforehand by performing quality checks on its application-related properties.
