APPLICATIONS

IPS  1000  is  a  specifically formulated product for removing rust  stains  from  all  stone materials:  granite,  marble, limestone,  terracotta  and ceramics. It does not contain acids and can therefore be used also on polished surfaces without affecting their shine. It acts quickly and easily removes rust.

HOW TO USE

Dampen the surface slightly with clean water and then apply a uniform layer of IPS 1000 to the stained  area  (about  5  mm thickness), using a spatula. Spread the product evenly over the stained area then allow to react.  The  product  colour changes  from  transparent yellowish to dark purplish as the reaction takes places. The reaction duration may vary even greatly depending on the type of material and finish. It is therefore advisable to always test a small area of the surface, for compatibility  and  application times. It is to be noted that the reaction duration  varies  greatly  and polished  surfaces  generally require longer application times. Once the reaction is completed, it is advisable to remove any residue and rinse with plenty of clean water. Rinse again if necessary.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not leave the product on the surface for more than 10-15 minutes, in order to prevent it from penetrating deep into the substrate.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

The product must be stored in the original  containers,  perfectly sealer, at a temperature between 0 and 30°C and shielded from direct  sunlight.  In  these conditions, the product has a self- life of 12 months of the date quoted in the delivery note. If the material has been stored for longer than its recommended self- life, it might still be suitable, but this has to be determined  beforehand  by performing quality checks on its application-related properties.
