• Abrasive Dullness: Grit and dust tracked in by thousands of shoes act like sandpaper, wearing down the gloss into a dull, gray haze.
• Lippage & Soil Trapping: Uneven tile joints trap grime that standard mops can’t reach.

When floors cross into “severe damage,” standard buffing fails. You need mechanical restoration—grinding away the damaged micro-layer to expose fresh stone, followed by progressive polishing to a mirror finish.

Located in Muntinlupa City near Ayala Alabang, Alabang Town Center (ATC) is a massive lifestyle hub blending indoor retail with open-air streets, heavy dining turnover, and weekend community markets.

• Indoor Concourses & Atriums: Daily foot traffic in the tens of thousands brings relentless abrasive and oil wear.
• Outdoor Flamed/Textured Stone: Weather exposure plus rain-driven pollutants lead to heavy efflorescence and dark staining.
• Entryways & Main Corridors: Severe micro-scratching created a stark contrast with ATC’s upscale brand positioning.

The Solution: Step-by-Step 500#–2000# Grinding + Blue Shield

Step-by-Step Execution Protocol

1. Stage 1: Heavy Defect Removal (500# Resin Pad)
   • Action: Wet-grind with weighted machine + 500# flexible pad. Deadweight increases cutting pressure.
   • Note: If deep acid etching or severe gouges exist, drop to 150# or 300# first. 500# alone won’t clear deep structural damage.
2. Stage 2: Slurry Extraction (Non-Negotiable)
   • Action: Vacuum slurry completely after every stage. Leaving stone dust/slurry turns the next pad step into wet sandpaper sanding.
3. Stage 3: Progressive Fine-Honing (1000#, 2000#)
   • Action: Wet-grind sequentially through 1000# and 2000#, extracting slurry each time. Higher grit = refined micro-scratches and clarity buildup.
4. Stage 4: Rinse & Complete Dry-Down
   • Action: Clean rinse, extract water, and air/fan-dry completely. Any residual moisture blocks Blue Shield penetration.
5. Stage 5: Blue Shield Crystallization (2–3 Passes)
   • Action: Apply Blue Shield with a 3M 4100 white pad at machine heat-friction speed. Repeat 2–3 times.
   • The Science: Driven by thermal friction, Blue Shield locks into stone molecular gaps, curing into a high-tensile, transparent shield—deflecting dust, mild acids, water, and scuffs while slashing daily maintenance friction.
