Deep Cleaning and Care

Polished tile floors with frequent foot traffic may develop shallow scratches, surface dullness, and stain penetration due to mechanical wear, losing their high-end decorative effect. This should be especially avoided in high-end commercial plazas, thus requiring deep cleaning and care.

Tools and Materials :

SC Swift Deep Floor Cleanser, Blue Shield, crystallizing machine, 3M red pad, white pad, dust mop.

Operation Process:

1.Clean the polished tile floor using SC Swift Deep Floor Cleanser (a weakly alkaline cleaning powder that won’t damage the tiles), a crystallizing machine, and a red pad.

2.Use an automatic floor scrubber to thoroughly rinse the floor with water, remove the moisture, and let it dry.

3.Spray Blue Shield on the floor (5-10 ml per square meter), use a 3M white pad, and match it with a crystallizing machine at 175 RPM (the machine weight is preferably about 50-60KG, no need to add extra weight).

4.Grind Blue Shield evenly until dry (takes about 2-3 minutes), and a hard crystal shield protective film will form on the floor.

5.If there is dust on the floor, clean it with a dust mop and repeat the operation with Blue Shield once more. This will make the Blue Shield protective film stronger and brighter.

Grinding and Renovation

Polished tiles are produced with a smooth surface formed by high-speed grinding, and intact tile surfaces have invisible closed capillary pores. In areas with extremely heavy foot traffic, polished tile floors may suffer severe scratches, surface dullness, and stain penetration, losing their high-end decorative effect—this is particularly common at mall entrances and main passages. If polished tiles are severely damaged like this, grinding and renovation are necessary to restore their mirror-like smoothness.

Tools and Materials:

Soft water grinding discs (500#, 1000#, 2000#), crystallizing machine (equipped with 1-2 extra weights), refurbished needle plate with elastic shock-absorbing sponge (capable of fully grinding tiles with slight height differences or uneven levels between them), water vacuum, SC Swift Deep Floor Cleanser, Blue Shield, 3M 4100 white pad.

Operation Process:

1.Use a weighted crystallizing machine and 500# soft water grinding discs for water grinding renovation of the polished tile floor. If the floor is severely corroded by strong acid or heavily worn, 150# and 300# soft water grinding discs are needed for renovation.

2.Use the water vacuum to remove all the slurry and sewage from grinding.

3.Continue water grinding renovation with 1000# and 2000# soft water grinding discs, then remove all the slurry and sewage.

4.Rinse the tiles thoroughly with water, remove the moisture, and let them air-dry.

5.Apply Blue Shield for crystallizing treatment and polishing on the polished tile floor 2-3 times.
