Crystal Shield is KingHome’s proprietary stone care product line — engineered to solve the specific weaknesses of conventional stone maintenance products. Each product in the series targets a different maintenance challenge, from hardness reinforcement to chemical resistance to marble-specific polishing.
This guide explains what each Crystal Shield product does, which stone types and scenarios it suits, and how to choose the right product for your facility.
Before understanding what Crystal Shield does differently, it helps to understand why conventional products have limitations:
Standard floor wax:
Maximum hardness: approximately 3.6 on the Mohs scale
Cannot resist damage from sand and grit tracked in by foot traffic
Yellows over time and requires frequent stripping and reapplication
See our for a detailed breakdown
Conventional crystallization materials:
Maximum hardness: approximately 4.0 on the Mohs scale
Still vulnerable to sand abrasion (sand/quartz = 7 on Mohs scale)
Limited chemical resistance — acid and alkaline cleaners degrade the crystallized layer
Requires frequent re-crystallization cycles (every 2–4 weeks in high-traffic areas)
Crystal Shield products address these gaps with advanced formulations that achieve higher hardness, broader chemical resistance, and longer service intervals.
combines an innovative “Physical Crystallization” principle with an ultra-hard nano-scale material formulation. Unlike chemical crystallization that creates a surface reaction on calcium-bearing stones only, Golden Shield’s physical crystallization works by penetrating the stone’s surface structure to lock in unstable molecules.

Key capabilities:
Physical crystallization — Does not rely on chemical reaction with stone minerals, making it effective on granite, engineered stone, and terrazzo (not just marble/limestone)
Nano-scale hardness boost — Significantly increases the hardness of both the stone’s surface layer and the crystallized layer, exceeding the hardness ceiling of conventional crystallization
Pore-filling crystal guard — Fills microscopic pores and fissures, reducing moisture absorption and staining vulnerability
Compatible with existing treatments — Can be applied over previously crystallized surfaces to reinforce and extend the existing protective layer
Best for:
Granite floors in commercial lobbies and corridors
Terrazzo and engineered stone in high-traffic facilities
Stone surfaces that need hardness reinforcement beyond what standard crystallization achieves
Facilities where sand and grit abrasion is a primary concern
cures into a strong, flexible transparent layer that delivers comprehensive protection against multiple damage vectors simultaneously. It is the most versatile product in the Crystal Shield line.

Key capabilities:
Heat-powered crystal layer — Activated by friction heat from rotary machines, forming a durable transparent protective film
Dust resistance — The sealed surface repels dust particles, reducing the frequency of routine cleaning
Acid-alkali corrosion resistance — Withstands contact with common acidic and alkaline cleaning chemicals without degrading
Scrub resistance — Maintains integrity under mechanical scrubbing from auto-scrubbers and rotary machines
Scratch prevention — The high-hardness film layer resists scratching from foot traffic and furniture movement
Self-cleaning ability — The hydrophobic surface prevents contaminants from bonding to the stone
Surface friction coefficient: 0.5–0.7 — exceeding the national standard (GB19079.1-2003) requirement that ground surface static friction coefficient shall not be less than 0.5. This means Blue Shield protects the stone while maintaining excellent anti-slip safety.
Best for:
Hotel lobbies and corridors with heavy guest traffic
Shopping mall concourses exposed to food, beverages, and cleaning chemicals
Hospital and healthcare facility floors requiring strict hygiene and chemical resistance
Any facility where anti-slip performance is a regulatory or safety requirement
is specially formulated for marble surfaces — addressing the unique challenges of marble maintenance that generic products handle poorly.

Marble is softer, more porous, and more chemically reactive than granite. It requires products that enhance its natural luster without causing micro-damage, while providing protection against the efflorescence (white salt deposits) that plagues marble in humid environments.
Key capabilities:
Marble-optimized polishing — Produces a deep, natural gloss without the artificial-looking film that generic coatings create
Anti-efflorescence — Prevents the migration of mineral salts to the marble surface, eliminating the white powdery deposits that ruin marble appearance
Anti-dust — Reduces dust adhesion to the polished surface
Acid-alkali resistance — Protects the marble from chemical damage during routine maintenance cleaning
Scrub resistance + scratch protection — Withstands the mechanical action of maintenance equipment
Self-cleaning and stain resistance — Prevents spills and contaminants from penetrating the marble pores
Best for:
Marble floors in five-star hotels and luxury retail
Museum and gallery spaces with large marble installations
Residential marble in high-end homes and villas
Marble surfaces in humid environments where efflorescence is a recurring problem

Decision guide:
Granite or terrazzo floor with heavy abrasion? → Golden Shield — Its physical crystallization and nano-hardness formulation directly targets the sand/grit damage that destroys conventional coatings on hard stone
Mixed stone facility needing all-round protection? → Blue Shield — Single product that covers dust, chemical, scratch, and slip resistance. Ideal when you need one solution for multiple protection requirements
Marble floors requiring premium appearance? → Green Shield — Purpose-built for marble’s unique softness and chemical sensitivity. Prevents efflorescence while maintaining natural marble luster
Layered protection strategy? → Golden Shield first (hardness base) + Blue Shield on top (protection layer) — For high-traffic commercial stone floors that face both abrasion and chemical exposure, a two-product approach delivers superior long-term results
All Crystal Shield products are designed for professional application using standard stone care equipment:
Equipment needed:
Rotary floor machine (175–300 RPM) or high-speed burnisher
Clean, dry polishing pads (steel wool pads for Golden Shield, fiber pads for Blue Shield/Green Shield)
Spray bottle for product application (or pour directly for large areas)
General application process:
Clean the stone surface thoroughly and allow it to dry completely
Apply product to the floor in manageable sections (2–3 square meters)
Use the rotary machine to work the product into the stone surface — heat from friction activates the crystallization process
Continue polishing until the desired gloss level is achieved
Repeat the application for additional protection layers as needed
Maintenance intervals:
High-traffic commercial spaces: Re-application every 4–8 weeks
Medium-traffic spaces: Every 8–12 weeks
Low-traffic residential or display areas: Every 3–6 months
For daily maintenance of treated surfaces, use pH-neutral stone cleaners only. Avoid acidic or highly alkaline products that can degrade the Crystal Shield layer. See our
